Individual Therapy in Texas
A personalized, one-on-one approach
Sessions are 60 minutes, one on one, focused entirely on what you are working through and where you want to go. All sessions are held online via secure video, making it easy to access support from wherever you are in Texas.
Most clients start weekly so we can build momentum and get to know each other, then adjust frequency from there. Some move to biweekly or monthly as they make progress. Others prefer to stay weekly for ongoing support. We figure out what works for you as we go.
How long therapy lasts depends on what you are working through. Some clients have a lot to process and benefit from longer term support. Others reach their goals more quickly. There is no set timeline, we work at a pace that makes sense for where you are.
What to expect in your first session
In our first session we will spend time getting to know each other. I will ask about what has brought you to therapy, your history, and what you are hoping for. Together we will start to build a picture of what is going on and begin setting some initial goals, though those goals often shift and evolve as we work together.
From the start I focus on building rapport and making sure therapy feels like a space where you can actually be honest. I also like to introduce practical coping tools early on, things like breathing techniques and grounding exercises, because I believe we need to build a foundation of skills before we tackle deeper or more difficult experiences. Think of it like building a toolkit before you start using it. You can read more about why these foundational skills matter in Anxiety Coping Strategies: Why the Basics Actually Work.
How I work
I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to what you need, including EMDR, Brainspotting, ACT, ERP, and mindfulness-based strategies. Some clients come specifically for one of these approaches. Others are not sure what they need yet and we figure that out together.
You can learn more about EMDR therapy and Brainspotting on their dedicated pages.
My background includes over a decade in hospital settings as a medical case manager. That experience means I understand the medical system, can help clients navigate complex health situations, and bring a practical, whole-person perspective to the therapeutic process. When appropriate I also help clients identify community resources and support systems outside of therapy, because getting basic needs met is part of the healing process.

A personal approach
When you work with me, you work with me directly. I am a solo practitioner which means I handle your scheduling, communication, and care personally. You will always know who you are working with and can reach me directly with questions or concerns.
I keep my caseload intentionally small so I can be genuinely present and responsive to each client. Therapy works best when there is real continuity and trust, and that is something I take seriously.
Fees and Insurance
I accept several insurance plans including Aetna, BCBSTX, Sendero IdealCare, Baylor Scott & White, TRICARE, and UnitedHealthcare. Insurance billing is handled directly through my practice for most plans.
I understand that cost can be a barrier to getting support. If you have concerns about fees, I encourage you to reach out and we can talk through your options together.
