Feel lighter, calmer, and more present
When Your Nervous System Feels Stuck or Overwhelmed
On the outside, you’re functioning, meeting deadlines, caring for others, and doing what’s expected.
Inside, it can feel like tension, overwhelm, or emotional exhaustion that doesn’t fully go away.
You may notice anxiety, overthinking, shutting down under stress, or feeling stuck in patterns you can’t seem to change.
Even when nothing obvious is wrong, your nervous system can stay activated from years of stress, pressure, and responsibility.
This is where EMDR therapy can help.
What is EMDR Therapy?
I am a fully certified EMDR therapist, trained in delivering EMDR therapy for anxiety, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a research-backed therapy that helps your brain process experiences that feel stuck or unresolved.
When certain experiences aren’t fully processed, they can continue to feel emotionally active even in the present. EMDR helps your brain reprocess those experiences so they are no longer stored with the same level of intensity.
During EMDR, we use bilateral stimulation (such as eye movements, tapping, or sound) to support your brain’s natural ability to organize and integrate information.
How EMDR Works
During EMDR sessions, I will guide you to briefly focus on specific thoughts, memories, images, or body sensations while using bilateral stimulation such as eye movements, tapping, or alternating sounds.
The stimulation is delivered in short sets while you notice what comes up, followed by brief pauses to check in before continuing.
We’ll focus on what feels most relevant and manageable in each session, adjusting the pace based on your nervous system’s response.
You remain fully aware throughout the process, and you can pause or stop at any time.
The goal of EMDR is to support your brain’s natural processing system as it organizes and integrates experiences that feel stuck or unresolved.
EMDR Therapy Can Help
EMDR can support you if you feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by stress or past experiences that still feel present in your daily life.
It is especially helpful for:
Anxiety and overthinking
Burnout and emotional exhaustion
Trauma (big or small)
Self doubt and perfectionism
Emotional reactivity or triggers
Feeling on edge or shut down
Over time, many clients notice less anxiety, fewer emotional triggers, more emotional stability, greater clarity, and a stronger sense of calm and self trust.
Even when you can’t fully explain what feels off, EMDR can help your nervous system process what it has been holding onto.

This can support the nervous system in staying grounded during sessions and make the work feel more accessible.

EMDR can feel different for everyone. You may notice moments of emotional activation followed by relief or shifts in how you experience certain thoughts or memories. Throughout the process, you remain aware, supported, and in control.
